What I've Drummed
IGN has posted video of gameplay from Guitar Hero World Tour featuring Linkin Park's "What I've Done", which should put to rest the confusion about what song will be included on the game's setlist. Shadow of the VMA
Linkin Park's "Shadow of the Day", directed by Joseph Hahn, has been nominated for an MTV Video Music Award for the Best Rock Video category. Update: Which Song Is It?
UPDATE: So it appears there's conflicting reports about exactly which Linkin Park song will be in Guitar Hero World Tour: According to an article in Stuff Magazine, Linkin Park's "In The End" was tapped to be featured in the upcoming video game. But IGN (the far more credible source of the two) said in an article today that "What I've Done" will be on the game's setlist. Using common sense tells us to believe IGN because of the source itself and the fact that in comparison to the setlists of previous Guitar Hero games, "In The End" would easily have one of the simplest main guitar riffs of any song ever included in the series. New Shows in China, New Album Next Year?
Linkin Park will be playing two shows in China in October: October 12th at the Shanghai Stadium, and October 19th at the Beijing Workers Stadium. Source: www.linkinpark.com In other news, Mike Shinoda recently stated in an interview that Linkin Park is already writing material for their follow-up to Minutes to Midnight, and has been recording demos during off-days from touring. He goes on to state that a new album sometime in 2009 is a possibility. Obviously it's still incredibly early to predict what will happen, but this could potentially be exciting news. In a story that can be filed under "should've seen that coming", the "unreleased" LP material that was advertised in a promotion with Major League Baseball and Champs Sports has turned out to be live tracks. The USB drive contains live versions of four songs from Minutes To Midnight; "Given Up", "Leave Out All The Rest", "No More Sorrow", and "In Pieces". Material from other artists include Ashes Divide's "Enemies", Atreyu's "Blow", Busta Rhymes' "We Made It" featuring Linkin Park, The Bravery's "This Is Not The End", and "Beautiful" from 10 Years.
